Let’s fight the norm together and make Black Friday a Green Friday! The expected spending during Black Friday is estimated on €346 per person in the UK alone (that’s more than 22 billion!). Can you imagine what an impact we can make if 20% of that (or everything) would be donated to charities? And now think of the whole world.

So, instead of giving you guys a discount, 20% of our sales of the 2019 Black Friday was donated to IFAW. To help the animals, and in particular the Koala’s, in need during the Australian wildfires.

We proudly raised €940,-!

You can’t have missed the news about the devastating Australian bushfires of this November. Due to climate change, Australia experiences record-breaking drought and bushfires, which caused the koala populations as “functionally extinct.” The chairman of the Australian Koala Foundation, Deborah Tabart, estimates that over 1,000 koalas have been killed from the fires and that 80 percent of their habitat has been destroyed.

So where does your money go? (From CNN:) “Dogs who have been trained to find and save koalas in the wild are helping to rescue the animals in Australia’s devastating bushfires. Bear, a border collie-koolie cross, is a detection dog who sniffs out live koalas during search and rescue operations in New South Wales’ Northern Rivers region, according to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). Bear was able to smell the scent of live koalas in the Ngunya Jargoon, an Indigenous Protected Area where 20-40 koalas lived before the wildfire destroyed 85% of its 1,000 hectares.”

Next to the koala’s there are so many more animals that IFAW is helping during these fires, so your money will be well spent!
